As we march through the storyline of Scripture, we come across the story of King David's desire to build a house for the LORD. It's an admirable desire. The Lord, however, tells David that he will not be the one to make him a home but that his son will. Though David will not build the Lord a house, God will make David a dynasty, and we can learn a bit from David about longing for the Lord to fulfill his promises.
